Moffitt MAC & PTC

With construction products from Gator Gypsum, contractors Barr & Barr and architects Tsoi Kobus Design are bringing the Moffitt Cancer Center to life in Speros, FL. Actually two distinct treatment centers in one building, the Medical Ambulatory Center (MAC) and Proton Therapy Center (PTC) combine for a massive 105,000 square feet. The MAC will house linear accelerators, CT, MRI, x-ray, mammography, and ultrasound imaging, along with a chemotherapy/infusion center. Meanwhile, the three-story PTC will house advanced proton therapy equipment. Together, this outpatient clinic and state-of-the-art proton therapy unit will bring life-saving treatment to thousands of patients beginning in 2026.
